Deborah Levy

Deborah Levy is a distinguished novelist, short-story writer, playwright, poet, essayist and contributor to national newspapers and other major publications. 

She is the author of eight novels: Beautiful Mutants (1989), Swallowing Geography (1993), The Unloved (1994), Diary of a Steak (1997), Billy & Girl (1999), Swimming Home (2011), Hot Milk (2016) and The Man Who Saw Everything (2019).  She has been shortlisted twice for the Booker Prize (2012 and 2016). Her latest novel is on the Booker Prize 2019 list. Of her three collections of short stories, Black Vodka (2013) was a finalist for the International Frank O’Connor Award. She is the author of several plays including Pax, Clam and Heresies for the Royal Shakespeare Company and Macbeth-False Memories for The Actors Touring Company. Her poetry collection, An Amorous Discourse in the Suburbs of Hell, was published in 1990. She has also written screenplays and radio adaptations for the BBC. Things I Don’t Want To Know (2013) and The Cost of Living (2018) are books of autobiographical essays. Her articles have appeared in The Independent, The Guardian, the New Statesman and others.

Rosie Goldsmith

Rosie Goldsmith is an acclaimed journalist and presenter. During her twenty years at the BBC, Rosie presented flagship programmes such as Crossing Continents, Open Book and Front Row. She appears frequently as interviewer and panellist at literary events in the UK and abroad. She is the Chair of Judges for the EBRD International Literature Prize.
