Lionel Shriver

Lionel Shriver's novels include The Mandibles (2016), A Perfectly Good Family (2015), Big Brother (2013), The New Republic (2012), National Book Award finalist So Much for That (2010), New York Times bestseller The Post-Birthday World (2007) and Orange Prize-winning We Need to Talk About Kevin (2003). In 2018 she published Property (The Borough Press), a collection of ten short stories and two novellas in which she explores the meaning of the word ‘property’ from different angles, exposing the relationship between various kinds of ownership and power. Her scrutiny of society and of the human condition leaves readers with much to ponder and discuss. 

Lionel Shriver is widely published as a journalist in the Guardian, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times and other publications. She writes a regular column in The Spectator.  She appears frequently on television and radio. She lives in London and Brooklyn, NY.

Rosie Goldsmith

Rosie Goldsmith is an acclaimed journalist and presenter. During her twenty years at the BBC, Rosie presented flagship programmes such as Crossing Continents, Open Book and Front Row. She appears frequently as interviewer and panellist at literary events in the UK and abroad. She is the Chair of Judges for the EBRD International Literature Prize.
